Always wear your helmet when riding. Wearing a helmet (certified with applicable and recognized standards) when riding may greatly reduce injury and in some cases save a rider’s life. Helmets must be worn whenever sitting on a horse, as falls hazards are not predictable. To make sure your helmet will protect you, please remember that:
1- Helmets only deliver protection when they fit correctly and are properly fastened.
2- After being subjected to a severe blow, a helmet should be replaced even if there is no visible alteration. A helmet can be damaged without external signs of it. This is because the inner shell could be damaged, reducing the protection in some areas.
Please visit the Riders4Helmet facebook page for detailed information on correct helmet use/purchase, inspiring riders' testimonies, and more.
FEI Athletes and Officials must be aware of and comply with the FEI headgear requirements.
Minors & Children MUST wear a helmet!
